Every year millions of people around the world make the decision to emigrate to a new place. It is a difficult decision because they are leaving behind family, friends, familiar places, and customs. Sometimes they have have to learn a new language or a new job and it can be difficult to adjust.
Explain how you think migration affects the lives of people and the character of places. Include three examples in your answer.
